Floor Sanding Process

1. Initial Sanding:

Coarse grit sandpaper:  we begin sanding with a floor sander using coarse grit sandpaper. Sand in the direction of the wood grain to remove the old finish, stains, and imperfectio

2. Edge Sanding:

Edger or hand sander:  we use specialized equipment to sand along the edges and corners where the floor sander can’t reach.

3. Detail Sanding:

Hand sanding:  we address intricate or tight areas that require extra attention using hand sanding techniques.

4. Intermediate Sanding:

Medium grit sandpaper: we sand the entire floor again with a medium grit sandpaper to further smooth out the surface and remove any marks from the coarse sanding.

5. Fine Sanding:

Fine grit sandpaper:  we perform a final sanding pass with fine grit sandpaper for a smooth and uniform surface.

6. Vacuum and Clean:

Thoroughly vacuum the entire area to remove sanding dust and debris.

Damp cloth: Wipe down the floor with a damp cloth to ensure it’s clean and ready for finishing
